I’m starting a music festival!
I’m bringing Make Music Day, a celebration of music recognized in 800 cities across 120 countries, to my new hometown of Roselle Park, New Jersey.
Basically, Make Music Day is a bunch of free, outdoor concerts each year on June 21, the summer solstice (the longest day of the year). The performances can be at parks, on sidewalks, even on front porches -- anywhere really as long it’s free and open to the public. Pretty much anyone may perform, and anyone may host a show.
I had the idea for Make Music Roselle Park after I thoroughly enjoyed my experience playing at Make Music New York in 2016, and the Roselle Park Arts Committee and Borough of Roselle Park have been awesome in helping me make it happen.
I’ll also be playing at the event, at Michael J. Mauri Gazebo Park. I’ll announce the time at a later date.
